NEW COMMUNITY CARE SERVICE LAUNCHES IN BEXHILL

Canford Healthcare, owners of Ashridge Court Care Centre in Barnhorn Road has launched Ashridge Community Care – a domiciliary (homecare) service for the area.

Ashridge Community Care, Bexhill will provide a comprehensive range of personal care services to the elderly communities in Bexhill, Cooden Beach, Hooe, Little Common, Sidley and surrounding villages.

The new outreach service will be led by experienced care manager, Leigh O’Hara, manager of Pentlow Community Care in Eastbourne. Ashridge Community Care will provided a wide range of services, including personal care (getting up / going to bed, dressing / undressing), assisting and monitoring medication, preparing and serving meals, general housework, shopping and night care.

The team of experienced male and female carers can also accompany clients to social activities and appointments, as well as assist with day-to-day routine tasks. Ashridge Community Care is also able to offer short-term care for recuperation from hospital. “The Ashridge Community Care service, although new to Bexhill, has the backing of a sixteen year, unblemished reputation for excellent care standards through its connection with Pentlow Community care in Eastbourne.

Staff retention is more than the industry standard, averaging nine years service, and the company has helped thousands of people to live independently and safely in their own homes since the company’s inception in 1994,” says Leigh O’Hara, Care Manager at Pentlow Community. “Ashridge Community Care Bexhill is an extension of the service we already offer in Eastbourne.

We are looking forward to helping the elderly community in the area remain independent and safe at home for as long as possible.”

Companionship service launched

If you or a relative is struggling to cope at home, we can help you maintain your independence.

Our wide range of services will support you while living at home and we are flexible - we provide just the care you need.

However, we have found that this is not enough for some of our clients, who previously led an active social life - which is why we also offer a social companionship service. Essentially this means we assist you to lead a more active or fulfilled life by taking trips out of the home.

What would you do with an experienced supportive carer, safe transport and some free time?

  • Travel to appointments, be it the doctor, optician or hairdresser.
  • Visit your friends or relatives
  • Shop for your own clothes, groceries or family presents
  • Attend a church service, a theatre show, a concert or the library
  • Have a meal out
  • Enjoy a drive or trip out for fresh air and a change of scenery.

Whatever you want to do, we are happy to escort you safely, and if you need a wheelchair we will ensure the transport provided can accommodate this too.

You can use this service in conjunction with our home care services, or book this on a regular or flexible basis as a stand alone service.
